SCOPE Art Show

CH64 Gallery presents a solo booth of works by Niniko Morbedadze at Scope Art Show in Miami. The presentation brings together a series of psychologically charged paintings that blur the boundaries between reality, memory, folklore, and dream. At the center of the booth, a large-scale composition depicting partially submerged figures in a luminous blue body of water anchors the presentation both visually and emotionally. Around it, works on paper depict solitary and paired figures inhabiting desolate shorelines, theatrical interiors, and uncanny pastoral settings. The booth reflects Morbedadze’s ongoing exploration of psychological tension, vulnerability, mysticism, and coexistence. Ornamental detail and moments of pastoral beauty are consistently interrupted by subtle unease. Expressions remain restrained, while body language, scale, and atmosphere carry emotional weight. Working with acrylic, colored pencil, and Indian ink on paper, Morbedadze creates densely layered surfaces marked by meticulous linework, delicate hatching, and subtle tonal transitions.
